The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of our warehouse, including managing inventory, organizing stock, and ensuring the proper storage and distribution of materials. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle physical tasks in a fast-paced environment. This role is key to maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring that all necessary office supplies and equipment are readily available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing office supplies, equipment, and other materials in the warehouse.
- Maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment to ensure easy access to items and safe working conditions.
- Perform regular inventory checks and track stock levels to ensure supplies are ordered and replenished in a timely manner.
- Assist with the preparation and packaging of materials or items for internal distribution or delivery.
- Support the loading and unloading of shipments and ensure that goods are properly handled.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movement, including entries and exits of materials.
- Ensure all items are stored correctly to minimize damage and prevent stockouts.
- Conduct periodic stock audits and update inventory management systems.
- Coordinate with other departments to fulfill supply and equipment requests efficiently.
- Report any stock discrepancies, damaged goods, or equipment issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Help in maintaining equipment and tools in good working condition, reporting any defects or maintenance needs.
- Perform any additional warehouse-related tasks or duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Assistant or in a similar logistics role.
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to inventory management.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and priorities.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with inventory management software or ERP systems.
- Forklift certification or similar warehouse equipment operation skills are a plus.
- Previous experience working in a corporate or professional services environment.
